In your landscaping plans, do you plan to have flowers? If these flowers are seedlings, you will have to take special consideration for them. You may first want to care for them inside and then transplant them when they have become stronger. However, transplanting can be very stressful for certain plants. So if you are starting your landscaping plots with seedlings there are a few steps that you may need to take in consideration before you plant the seedlings.
First, you should dig a hole for each seedling. The hole should be fairly large for the plant. You will want to throw in some compost or topsoil. This will give the plants some nutrients and that extra push to make it grow and quickly bloom. Then take the pot and gently hold on to the seedling.
Flip the pot over and pat on the bottom so that it will come out of the pot. If you notice that the plant comes out with out the soil, you will want to dip the roots in water and then empty the soil into the hole. Then place the plant in the hole. Stand the plant up and fill in the hole gently with soil and then firmly press the soil around the plant. With the indentation near the stem of the plant, you will notice that the rain will do towards the stem. Once you have planted the flower or plant you then will want to give them plenty of water to start them off.
You will want to do this for each plant that you have purchased for your landscaping project. This can take a lot of time so you may want to have one or two other people helping you. However, if you have all day set aside to make your garden, then you have no reason to rush. To make a good-sized garden with seedlings, it make take you an hour to three hours to plant them all.
If you notice that the soil is getting to muddy to work with, then you do not want to water the seedlings until you have planted the garden completely. To start your landscaping plans off on the right foot, make sure that you give the plants a lot of water and then you should tend to your garden and landscaping at least every other day.
